Information: The Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program provides financial and health-related benefits to eligible adult Albertans with a severe and permanent disability that substantially limits their ability to earn a living. AISH provides a monthly living allowance, a child benefit, health benefits, and personal benefits. Benefits are provided to assist clients with their living needs and with living as independently as possible. In the presentation we will discuss points that include the meaning of AISH, myths about AISH, eligibility for AISH, what AISH offers, what happens after one qualifies and just the general program.
