There are a number of distance education options in Alberta and throughout Canada, including the following:

Alberta

• Alberta Distance Learning Centre Offers flexible distance learning for Grades 1 to 12 with course alternatives and ways to complete your high school education.
• Athabasca University Specializes in liberal arts, science and professional education, offering more than 700 courses in 60 Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs and Graduate Certificate and Diploma programs.
• eCampusAlberta Your one-stop connection to more than 40 accredited online programs and 400 online courses offered by Alberta's colleges and technical institutes.
• Alberta North Thanks to a partnership of six post-secondary schools, you can access numerous learning resources such as computers, Internet, career guidance, study guides and exam supervision at over 85 learning centres throughout northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

British Columbia

• Thompson Rivers University - Distance Education Offers distance education courses and complete distance programs in selected fields.
• British Columbia Institute of Technology - Distance Education Offers part-time and full-time online studies online in a variety of technical fields.
• University of British Columbia - Distance Education, Independent Study Offers credit courses and programs in the Faculties of Arts, Agricultural Sciences, Education, Forestry and Science and the School of Nursing.
• Simon Fraser University - Centre for Online and Distance Education Offers degrees, certificates, post-baccalaureate diplomas and two graduate programs (education and publishing).

• Open Acadia Offers a diverse set of programs online.
