Learning Clicks ambassadors don’t just stand and deliver.
Each participant in a Learning Clicks presentation is provided with a package of free resources to help them plan and prepare for post-secondary education and training.
Learning Clicks CD-ROM
This fun and interactive multimedia tool helps students plan and prepare for education and training after high school. Your Learning Clicks ambassador will demonstrate the CD-ROM in the presentation and provide each student with a copy to use later in class or at home.
Alberta Learning Information Service (ALIS) Website
ALIS is Alberta's leading online source for the education and career planning information. Your Learning Clicks ambassador will guide your junior and senior high school students through key sections of ALIS, including
- OCCinfo: a searchable database with detailed information on more than 500 occupations in Alberta, including duties, working conditions, personal characteristics, educational requirements, employment and advancement and salaries
- EDinfo: a searchable database with program information for Alberta’s universities, colleges, technical institutes, private university colleges, and other private schools
- Scholarship Connections: a searchable database with links to hundreds of valuable scholarships
- Grade-Specific Checklists: post-secondary planning checklists relevant to junior high students and students in grades 10, 11 or 12
Tradesecrets Website
Tradesecrets is Alberta’s leading website for apprenticeship and technical training information. This website provides detailed information on all 50 designated trades and 8 designated occupations including training requirements, available scholarships, financial assistance, industry standards and more.
TransferAlberta Website
TransferAlberta is the home of the official Alberta Transfer Guide, a searchable database of more than 60,000 course and program transfer agreements between Alberta post-secondary schools. Transfer agreements allow students to begin studies at one post-secondary school and later transfer to another without having to take duplicate courses.
