Learning Clicks ambassador don’t just stand and deliver.

Each participant in a Learning Clicks presentation is provided with a package of free resources to help you plan and prepare for post-secondary education and training.

Alberta Learning Information Service (ALIS) Website

ALIS is Alberta’s leading online source for education and career planning information. Learning Clicks ambassadors will guide participants through key sections of ALIS, including

  • OCCinfo: a searchable database with detailed information on more than 500 occupations in Alberta, including duties, working conditions, personal characteristics, educational requirements, employment and advancement and salaries

  • EDinfo: a searchable database with program information for Alberta’s universities, colleges, technical institutes, university colleges, and other private schools

  • CAREERinsite: a career planning tool that guides users through the 5 steps of career planning

  • Scholarship Connections: a searchable database with links to hundreds of valuable scholarships

  • Grade-Specific Checklists: post-secondary planning checklists relevant to the junior high students and students in grades 10, 11 or 12

TradeSecrets Website

TradeSecrets is Alberta’s leading website for apprenticeships and technical training information. This website provides detailed information on all 50 designated trades and 8 designated occupations including training requirements, available scholarships, financial assistance, industry standards and more.

TransferAlberta

TransferAlberta is the home of the official Alberta Transfer Guide, a searchable database of more than 60,000 course and program transfer agreements between Alberta post-secondary schools. Transfer agreements allow students to begin studies at one post-secondary school and later transfer to another without having to take duplicate courses.

  • ALIS eNewsletter: An electronic newsletter that provides highlights on what's new with the ALIS website as well as information on new and updated products.

  • Money 101: A guide to help students prepare for financing post-secondary education or training.

  • Planning for the Future brochure: PDF Icon_smallerversion.GIF A complete listing of tools and resources provided by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology to help Albertans plan for education or training.

  • Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP): Information about RESPs, that allow families to save for their child's post-secondary education or training. Numerous grants are available through the provincial and federal governments.
