Learning Clicks Ambassadors

Post-secondary Learning Clicks ambassadors are current post-secondary students who deliver free interactive and informative presentations at junior and senior high schools across Alberta, motivating students to pursue education or training after high school.

Ambassadors share their personal post-secondary experiences and stories with students and provide them with practical planning tools and resources.

What Does a Learning Clicks Ambassador Offer?

Credibility

Post-Secondary Learning Clicks ambassadors are post-secondary students or apprentices who are currently pursuing their dreams. Who better to talk about what it’s like to be a post-secondary student or to work in the trades?

Motivation

Learning Clicks ambassadors were in your students' shoes not too long ago and are succeeding at the next step in their journey. Your ambassador will share personal post-secondary experiences and stories with students and provide them with practical planning tools and resources.

Accountability

As members of the Alberta Public Service, Learning Clicks ambassadors will conduct themselves with respect, accountability, integrity and excellence.

Knowledge

Learning Clicks ambassadors are trained by specialists in

  • the secondary and post-secondary systems
  • the post-secondary transfer system
  • the apprenticeship and industry training system
  • financing options for post-secondary education and training

Trust

You can feel comfortable having Post-Secondary Learning Clicks ambassadors as guests in your school. Every one undergoes an RCMP criminal record check (including a Vulnerable Sector search).

Mandi

Mandi is a Post-Secondary Learning Clicks Ambassador in the Northwest region. She is currently in her 2nd year at Northern Lakes College doing her practical nursing program by distance learning.
“I am from a small town, and deciding to attend post-secondary is the best choice I've made for my future. I'm looking forward to the many rewards education will bring. Life is too short to be doing work you do not enjoy, so be bold and choose an education pathway that allows you to spend your life doing what you love.”

Matt is in his 4th year of a bachelor's degree in business at NAIT.
“I want to show prospective students the awesome options post-secondary education can bring. Post-secondary education opens up a ton of doors for students and I want to make that transition for them as easy and simple as possible.”

Sarah

Sarah

Sarah is in her 4th year of the bachelor of sciences in nutrition and food science. As part of her degree, Sarah has started working on her integrated dietetic internship which involves doing placements with registered dieticians in a variety of locations across Alberta.
“I am excited to present post-secondary education options available to Albertans because there are such a wide variety of paths that a student can take to reach their ultimate career goals.”

Stefan is in his 5th year of his undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta studying Sociology and Philosophy.
"Without a doubt, my post-secondary experience has been the greatest transformative process in my life thus far. As an Ambassador, I hope to leave students with a better awareness of their post-secondary options, excited for the future and feeling supported in making decisions that are right for them."

Tami is a 4th year student at the University of Alberta School of Business majoring in accounting.
"I am excited to empower students to take charge of their future. My post-secondary experience has taught me so much about myself and I look forward to motivating students to find their own education pathway."

Deirdre is a Post-Secondary Learning Clicks Ambassador in the Central region. She is a 4th year bachelor of arts student at the Red Deer College in the University of Calgary collaborative degree program.
“I believe post-secondary education opens a world of opportunities for everyone, both personally and professionally. I am very excited to be a part of the Learning Clicks team again this year to share my experiences with others.”

Lloyd is currently a 3rd year political science student at the University of Calgary. He is an FNMI Learning Clicks Ambassador and will be presenting in Calgary, Central and South regions.
“As a former classroom assistant at a First Nations school, I became inspired by former students. I want to show and inspire them to continue on to post-secondary education so they can achieve their full potential!”

Sarah is a 2nd year student at Red Deer College working on a bachelor of arts degree in psychology.

“There is such a vast variety of post-secondary education options that it is very exciting for students to explore and learn about them. It’s great to encourage students to find something that suits their personality!”

Maria is a Learning Clicks Ambassador in the Calgary region. She is currently at the University of Calgary completing her second undergraduate degree in psychology.
“As an Ambassador, I look forward to meeting students and providing them with the tools necessary to accompany them on their journey through discovery and empowerment.”

Martha

Martha is currently completing a bachelor of fine arts at the Alberta College of Arts and Design. She is a sculpture major with a minor in media arts + digital technologies.
“I did not know my education could have such a huge impact on my lifestyle and open up so many opportunities. Everything I learn I use in my artistic practice.”

Shabana is a Learning Clicks Ambassador for the Calgary region and recently completed her humanities degree from the University of Lethbridge.
“Post-secondary education is important because we live in a country that gives it’s citizens many options, and we should take full advantage of them to not only further our learning, but to diversify ourselves!”

Joey

Joey is a FNMI Learning Clicks Ambassador for the southern Alberta region. He is a former construction trades worker who now has completed two diplomas in communications at Lethbridge College in print journalism and advertising/public relations and will be completing an additional diploma in broadcast journalism.
“Knowledge is power and the youth are our future. The more students we can empower with knowledge, the better the future will be for everyone here in Alberta.”

Zac has completed a BA/BEd in modern languages and is currently pursuing a master of counselling psychology degree.
“We make some of the most important decisions of our lives when we are young and we need all the help we can get. I want to help as many people as possible in this process.”
