Charles S. Noble Junior Football Scholarships
Sponsored by: Co-sponsored by Alberta Scholarship Programs and the three Alberta Junior Football teams, in honour of Charles S. Noble one of Alberta's biggest and most innovative grain farmer. Purpose: To reward the athletic and academic excellence of junior football players at universities, colleges and technical institutes in Alberta. Value: 30 awards of up to $1,000 Eligibility: Applicants must be Alberta residents and enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, professional or graduate program at a university, college or technical institute in Alberta. Upgrading programs do not qualify. Applicants must be a playing member on an Alberta Junior Football team. In addition, applicants must have maintained a minimum average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in their previous semester. Students entering their first semester of post-secondary study do not have to meet this requirement. Selection: Recipients are nominated by each Alberta Junior Football team and forwarded to the Alberta Junior Football League scholarship committee. Application: Interested applicants should contact their team coach or manager. Deadline: October 1 Disbursement: The scholarship is disbursed in two installments of $500 each - early December and late March. The second disbursement is contingent upon the student continuing to meet the eligibility criteria. Audience: Athletic Students, Undergraduate Students
