Alberta and Canada Student Loans
Your Alberta and Canada student loans are in interest-free status while you are in school full-time. This means that, while you are a full-time student, you are not required to:
- make payments on your loans
- pay interest on your loans

Forms to keep your loans in interest-free status
If you are not receiving new student loans but are continuing your studies in a designated program, you want to make sure your previous loans stay in interest-free status. To do this, you must complete:
- Schedule 2 ;
if you only have a previous Canada student loan
- Form B ;
if you only have a previous Alberta student loan
- Form B ;
if you have both previous Canada and Alberta student loans Information sheets for various situations
