Applying Online

For first time or returning students…

Before you start applying online, be prepared with information you need by reading the following:

Did you apply online?  Now inquire online to get information about the status and results of your application.

Who Can Apply Online?

If you are an Alberta resident and are attending full-time post-secondary studies, you may be eligible to apply online for student funding.

However, there are some situations when you cannot apply online:

  • if you are concurrently enrolled in two post-secondary institutions at the same time in order to be considered a full-time student for student funding purposes
  • if you are attending an exchange or field study program
  • if you are taking upgrading courses
  • if you have already submitted a paper application
  • if you are attending a school or are enrolled in a program that is not designated for funding
  • if you are enrolled in part-time studies

If You Have a Permanent Disability

If you are a student with a permanent disability, you may also apply online but you may be required to submit a paper Schedule 4 depending on your circumstances. Read the information sheet pdficon_small.gif for complete information on how to apply for student funding.

If You Cannot Apply Online

If you are not eligible to apply online, request a paper application and/or a Schedule 4 (for students with permanent disabilities):
