Secure Identity and Access Management System (SIAMS)
What is the Secure Identity and Access Management System (SIAMS)? When you go to access the online application, you will first be directed to a Secure Identity and Access Management System (SIAMS) login page. SIAMS provides a single secure, centralized authentication and authorization service to access online systems. SIAMS will provide you with a User ID and a password which will allow you to enroll into online services. Your SIAMS Login becomes a passport to current and future online services offered by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, associated ministries and associated organizations.
What happens when I register with SIAMS? If you have not previously registered with SIAMS, follow the instructions in order to be issued your SIAMS User ID and password. You can then use your SIAMS User ID and password in the future to access the Students Finance System and other government applications.
I have registered with SIAMS and received my User ID and password. Why am I being asked for personal information in the student funding online application? Registering with SIAMS does not yet mean that you have been given full access to the online application for student funding. To protect your personal information, we require you to provide additional personal information (see the Personal Information section below) in order to enroll in the Students Finance System.
