- Install and overhaul heating systems
- Install equipment in refrigerated trucks used to transport food or medical supplies
- Install refrigeration systems
- Install ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems
- Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
- Maintain and repair equipment in refrigerated trucks
- Measure and lay out reference points for installation
- Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
