Tasks

  • Explain procedures
  • Operate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
  • Position patients
  • Wear radiation detection equipment to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of disease
  • Apply radiation protection measures
  • Explain procedures and side effects of radiation
  • Record and process patient data
  • Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination
