High school graduates with a minimum of three years? experience working in adult or continuing education are encouraged to apply. If you do not meet these requirements but have appropriate and equivalent education and work experience, you will be considered for admission.
Typically, distance education students purchase a course pack of readings and sometimes a textbook from the UVic Bookstore and they participate in asynchronous (students do not need to be online at any particular time to participate) discussions with their colleagues in the course and the instructor using a learning management system called Moodle- connection to the internet is all that is required to access Moodle and students will be sent a url and start up information.
