The Athletic Therapy program is designed to meet accreditation requirements of the Canadian Council of Undergraduate Physical Education and Kinesiology Administrators (CCUPEKA), the body that ensures quality and consistency in physical education degrees in Canada. Graduates will be eligible to pursue certification from the Canadian Association of Athletic Therapists (CATA). You will gain fundamental knowledge and skills in: assessment injury prevention and treatment therapeutic modalities rehabilitation techniques clinical management and administration The BHPE - Athletic Therapy major equips students with foundational knowledge before incorporating the curriculum/courses offered in our highly-regarded Athletic Therapy Advanced Certificate to offer a four-year program that is supported by a balance of General Education courses and work experience components, which gives students the option to add a minor to complement their major.
