The Post Diploma-Certificate in Culinary Entrepreneurship is an intensive year long program during which students develop knowledge and skills by operating a live hospitality operation. This unique applied learning oriented program will involve students in learning the skills required to be an entrepreneur through their actual leading and managing of a live hospitality operation. Instruction will be provided through the use of blended online courses, instructor/mentors and collaboration with the SAIT Library. Graduates of the Entrepreneurship program will have the knowledge, skills and experience to make informed decisions about their tolerance to risk, ability to manage and ability to lead. From being involved in running a live hospitality operation, students will be able to determine if they are suited to entrepreneurship, if they are ready to become entrepreneurs or if they should use their entrepreneurial skills to enhance their positions as employees within an organization. The program will run from August through July.
