Standard Admission: 1. High school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent. OR 2. Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Mature Admission: 1. Must be 18 years or older 2. Must complete Academic achievement test WBST Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (Assessment of Reading and Arithmetic Skills) English As a Second Language 1. Canadian Language Benchmark Stage III (Levels 10-12) Admissions Interview Admissions interview includes discussion of the following: 1. Prospective students reasons for interest in the Dental Administration Field 2. Current knowledge of the Dental Administration field, and the role of the Dental Administrator 3. Program workload and expectations 4. Confirmation that prospective student has sufficient time in their schedule to commit to their studies 5. Understanding curriculum requirements and grading criteria 6. Ensure students are comfortable working with technology (computer, email, software programs, etc.) 7. Address any challenges the prospective student or instructor forsee 8. Outline skills and attributes of the student, that they feel will be beneficial in the field 9. Discussion of working practicum program.
