The Edit­ing and Proof­read­ing Series pro­vides stu­dents with the oppor­tu­ni­ty to devel­op fun­da­men­tal edit­ing and proof­read­ing skills for a range of fields span­ning tra­di­tion­al and mul­ti­me­dia web-based applications.

Learn the basics of sub­stan­tive and copy edit­ing, cor­rect and con­sis­tent punc­tu­a­tion, gram­mar, word usage, spelling, proof­read­ing marks, com­par­ing copies, the errors to look for when proof­read­ing, the dif­fer­ences between proof­read­ing and edit­ing, and devel­op­ing and cri­tiquing nar­ra­tive for mul­ti­me­dia projects.
