Funeral Service Foundation Program

Canadian College of Funeral Service

Canadian College of Funeral Service

ccfs.ca

The Foundation Program is an exciting way to enter into the funeral service profession.  This program is designed for those who are not sponsored or employed by funeral homes. It is an introduction to funeral service and is credited towards any of the licensure programs. The Foundation Program is intended to provide and introduction to the basic theory needed for study and employment in the Funeral Service Profession prior to securing employment as an apprentice.  It is designed and delivered in a format that is ideal for those who are working or studying full-time outside of funeral service. The program is delivered in a variety of formats combining in-school sessions and on-line delivery, all designed to meet the competency standards of a Level I apprentice.  Upon completion of the Foundation Program, students will need to find employment, register as a Level II apprentice, obtain sponsorship and complete the work experience requirements for Level I and Level II of their chosen program.
