Admission Requirements
Standard Admission Student must meet one of the following criteria: 1. Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in a Grade 12 English and Biology 30, or non-Alberta equivalent. OR 2. (Alberta) High School Equivalency Diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent. And ALL of the following criteria: 1. A minimum of Benchmark 8 (Canadian Language Benchmark System) in both verbal and written English. 2. Submission of a medical doctor's certificate stating the applicant is in good health and able to work as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. 3. Successful interview with school administration. 4. Submission of a clear criminal record check. 5. Successful result on a keyboarding test administered by the school (15 wpm or better). Mature Admission Students must meet ALL of the following criteria: 1. Out of high school for minimum (2) two years. 2. Successful interview with school administration. 3. Thirty-three credits towards an Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 10 English, and Grade 10 Science, or non-Alberta equivalent. 4. A minimum Benchmark 8 (Canadian Language Benchmark System) in both verbal and written English. 5. Submission of a medical doctor's certificate, stating the applicant is in good health and able to work as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. 6. Successful result on an aptitude test administered by the school (equivalent to Grade 12 English and Grade 12 Biology) - Wonderlic SLE. 7. Submission of a clear criminal record check. 8. Successful result on a keyboarding test administered by the school (15 wpm or better).
