Admission Requirements
Standard Admission Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Alberta high school diploma (or non Alberta equivalent) verified by transcript, with a passing mark (60%) in Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Math 30-1 or 30-2, and English 30-1 or 30-2. 2. Applicants must provide documentation of one of the following as evidence of language proficiency: a) Language proficiency test results that must meet the NAPRA Language Proficiency Requirements for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Canada; OR b) Graduation from a high school in Canada with three (3) consecutive, first language English or French courses/credits; OR c) Graduation from a College d'enseignement et professional (CEGEP) in Quebec with three (3) consecutive, first language English or French courses/credits; OR d) An undergraduate degree from a University in Canada, whose instruction was provided in English or French. 3. 30 words per minute on a keyboarding assessment. 4. Successful interview with school administration. 5. Submission of a criminal record check. 6. Immunizations. Mature Admission Students must meet ALL of the following criteria: 1. Must be at least 19 years of age. 2. Out of high school for one year. 3. Credits towards an Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript (or non Alberta equivalent) with a passing mark (60%) in Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Math 30-1 or 30-2, and English 30-1 or 30-2. 4. Applicants must provide documentation of one of the following as evidence of language proficiency: a) Language proficiency test results that must meet the NAPRA Language Proficiency Requirements for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Canada; OR b) Graduation from a high school in Canada with three (3) consecutive, first language English or French courses/credits; OR c) Graduation from a College d'enseignement et professional (CEGEP) in Quebec with three (3) consecutive, first language English or French courses/credits; OR d) An undergraduate degree from a University in Canada, whose instruction was provided in English or French 5. 30 words per minute on a keyboarding assessment. 6.
