Plastic Manufacturing Process Operator Certificate

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

www.nait.ca
Knowledge of plastic processing from the plastics point of view is of utmost importance to the employees and technicians employed by the plastic industry.

Every control adjustment in the machines directly or indirectly changes one of the 4 variables: Melt Temperature, Melt Pressure, Flow Rate and Cooling Rate. By learning the processing from this perspective, the machine operators and technicians not only will be able to understand the "how" of processing but also the "why." This fundamental knowledge will help them analyze and correct a broad range of potential problems faced during the plastic processing operations.
