The Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics (GCDA) is offered by Athabasca University's Faculty of Science and Technology. The certificate program is intended to provide professional development for those already working in the Information Technology field. It focuses on the data analytics teams as well as on the technical skills and tools required to analyze data. The program is designed to attract individuals looking for a highly relevant and immediately applicable, short-term learning project. It is a comparatively low-cost and low-risk alternative for individuals who have been away from formal learning for some time, or who may lack confidence in their ability to succeed in graduate-level studies. The program also provides opportunity to ladder directly to the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSc IS) program.
