This program will offer management and leadership development with the ability for the learner to select courses of interest to benefit learning and development. As a result of this program, they will be able to sample courses across the various courses as well as develop more focused areas of concentration in the areas of leadership and productivity. Access to this diploma and the courses contained will allow the student to align the diploma content with their own specific career needs. The target student for this new diploma program is an individual who is poised for leadership and management development and will utilize this diploma to become more effective in their workplaces. Our curriculum and course design values the application of theory in workplace context, requiring students to pull from their daily work experiences in discussion, in completion of assignment(s), in practicing to use tools and techniques while they acquire knowledge, understanding and skill throughout the course.

Admission Requirements

Applicants to the Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management (GDLM) must have

  1. an undergraduate degree OR approval of the dean or designate, based on a prior learning assessment, including other credentials or certifications AND
  2. a minimum of 3 years of professional experience that shows progressive management and/or leadership experience OR has been identified by an employer for succession planning or movement into a leadership and management role.
