Pre-Employment Mobile Crane Operator

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology

www.sait.ca
This pre-employment program comprises the first period of the corresponding apprentice program that SAIT currently offers in this trade. The program will train individuals to set up, service and operate booms that are mounted on crawlers or wheeled frames as well as travelling, fixed or climbing-type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and jib. Although the program will initially be developed as a face-to-face program, it will lend itself well to a blended learning environment. Upon completion of the program, students will write the first year Mobile Crane apprentice exam.
