This 12-week program prepares you for a career as a Millwright. It covers all course materials received by a first year Millwright apprentice, plus additional hands-on skills and safety training. The program will prepare you to enter the workforce as an apprentice and, after successful completion of the program, allows you to write the first year Millwright apprenticeship exam.

Admission Requirements
Successful completion of  the following courses or equivalents:
  • Math 20-1 or Math 20-2 or Math 20-3 or Pure Math 20 or Applied Math 20
  • English Language Arts 20-1 or English Language Arts 20-2
  • Science 10
  • English Proficiency
A pass mark in the SAIT Admission Examination (Level 4) or equivalent is accepted instead of the admission requirements. 
General Educational Development (GED) tests are not accepted instead of the admission requirements.

Admission will be extended on a first-qualified, first-offered basis until the program is full.

Student Aid

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Student Aid Alberta for the funding year 2017/08/01 to 2018/07/31*.
