Admission Requirements
Standard Admission: 1. Must be 19 years or older. 2. Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript or non-Alberta equivalent OR Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED). 3. Minimum 8 hours experience in the pet care industry preferably directly relating to the care of dogs. This may include documented proof of previous employment/job shadow or volunteer hours at an animal shelter/vet clinic, etc. 4. Must complete a satisfactory school interview to include standard aptitude test. Mature admission: 1. Must be 19 years or older. 2. Have successfully completed an academic achievement test (Wonderlic) to demonstrate Grade 12 competency. 3. Minimum 8 hours experience in the pet care industry preferably directly relating to the care of dogs. This may include documented proof of previous employment/job shadow or volunteer hours at an animal shelter/vet clinic, etc. 4. Must complete a satisfactory school interview.

Student Aid

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Student Aid Alberta *.

  • Total Books/Supplies/Other Fees $2,000.00
