Students who complete the Roadbuilders Certificate will be able to describe and implement engineering and construction best practices in the fields of transportation, geotechnical applications and pavement materials. Students will demonstrate the means and methods necessary to participate in the construction of public infrastructure and will have a broad technical understanding and possess communication skills required for success.
With over 750 companies either working in or servicing the roadbuilding industry in Alberta alone, the job opportunities and room for advancement are significant. Road building and heavy construction is expected to remain healthy and vibrant, and will continue to grow as an industry.

Roadbuilders courses were developed in conjunction with the Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association (ARHCA) to address the professional development requirements of those in the industry as well as the training needs of those who are interested in this career path.
