Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) has partnered with SAIT to develop and deliver an exciting program for students looking to join or enhance their Real Estate career. Real Estate is a people business, with a need of an entrepreneurial spirit and strong worth ethic.
Graduates of the Alberta Real Estate Training Program will have the practical knowledge, skills and attitudes to be well-positioned to write the necessary licensing exams to practice real estate in Alberta. Graduates will further build business operations, business management, interpersonal skills, and client service to build the foundations of a successful real estate professional.
This program is delivered mainly online, with each session supported by knowledgeable instructors who currently practice in real estate. The six required core courses are further supported by completing one, or more, of three Area of Specialty course options designed to allow you to craft your career. The learner can also choose to complete an in-class refresher session with a real estate instructor after completing the core courses.
After completing this program, learners will receive a SAIT Alberta Realtor Training Certificate of Achievement. They will confidently challenge the real estate licensing exam to become a licensed realtor in Alberta.
All those challenging the licensing exam must meet the education eligibility requirements, including verifying a high school diploma or equivalent and providing a certified criminal record check. All Real Estate professionals must work for a licensed brokerage before operating as a licensed realtor in Alberta.
