Cloud Computing and Virtualization Certificate

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

This certificate program is for both IT administrators who are familiar with a traditional data center and for those who want to learn everything 'Cloud' and to gain a comprehensive understanding of data center virtualization. Although a background in IT will 'flatten the learning curve,' this program assumes you know nothing about the Cloud or virtualization technologies. As you build a foundation of concepts, hands-on labs allow you to build necessary skills. As a stepping stone to becoming a trusted Cloud and Virtualization Expert, this program, along with additional self-study, will enable you to challenge the CompTIA Cloud+ certification exam (CV0-001).

 Key topics include:

  • Data Center virtualization technologies and strategies
  • Public, Private, and Hybrid Clouds
  • Cloud storage, security, and availability
  • Pros and cons of various cloud strategies
  • Difference between traditional data centers and virtualized and cloud-based centers
