www.mtroyal.caThis program builds on current paramedic training and experience by preparing you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to manage a broad range of medical services for at risk patients in the community. The Community Paramedicine educational experience will expand on practical experiences to build competencies in addressing complex social and mobility issues.
Program content focuses on application of primary health care strategies within inter-professional environments for urgent and specialized medical treatment. You will be prepared to provide assessment, diagnostics, treatments and follow-up care plans at the community level in collaboration with the patient, their family members, and the medical team.
