Intro to Millwright Industrial Mechanic 1st Year

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology
This 14 week program covers 1st period Millwright Industrial Mechanic material. It’s an intensive program of blended delivery (online distance and classroom based hours) offering a unique opportunity to study theory online, as well as attend classes during evenings and weekends. Millwright Industrial Mechanics 1st year theory will be completed independently by students through online studies with the assistance of an online tutor. During evenings and weekends students will build the necessary hand skills for the trade by attending shop hours.
This combination of online independent study and hands-on practice in shop settings will enable students to get through the program quickly. To best suit this intense type of program delivery, students should be committed to learning the Industrial Mechanic Millwright trade, be self-motivated and have strong time management skills.
Graduates will still need to complete the prescribed number of work hours in their trade to advance in their apprenticeship after completion of this program.
