Academic Requirements: Credit in English 10-2 or equivalent and credit in Math 10-3 or equivalent. Conditionally accepted applicants also need to participate in an interview with Program Coordinator (either in person or via phone). Note: Employers typically require employees to have a Grade 12 Diploma or GED.
Note: The following safety tickets are not included but are required before going on Work Experience: H2S, First Aid, TDG/WHMIS. Please note that there is no class time set aside for students to take these training courses; completing prior to taking this program is highly recommended.
Applicants are accepted and reviewed on a continuous basis. Applicants are advised to apply three months prior to the program start date to allow time to complete application processes and arrangements for funding. Space is limited in some programs, and applicants are accepted on a first qualified, first served basis. Deadline for registration/payment in full is two weeks prior to offering start date.
This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2023/08/01 to 2024/07/31*.
