www.sait.caThis home study and office practice course provides individuals who are currently employed by an ophthalmologist the opportunity to further their understanding of the scientific principles of optimal eye care and enhance their career path. As the Ophthalmic Assistant program is accredited by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel, this program is well-suited to prepare Ophthalmology students to write the certification exam. Learners have four months to complete Part I and four months to complete Part II, without having to interrupt their full-time ophthalmic employment.
