Admission Requirements
Standard Admissions: Must be 18 years or older (or parental consent if younger than 18 years), AB Highschool diploma or non-Alberta equivalent or Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D). Successful completion of virtual meeting online with Trena Laine to provide further proof that the student is qualified to study with our Professional Makeup Artist Certification Program. English Language Requirements - All Programs In addition to each program's admission requirements. All international applicants must demonstrate that they are proficient in the English language in order to be successful in their online and/or workshop training. Unless specifically stated in the program admission requirements, English language proficiency requirement can be satisfied if the applicant has earned a high school diploma from secondary school (or above) in a system in which English is the official language of instruction. If English was not the applicant's first language, the applicant will need to meet the minimum English Language Proficiency standard. English test scores are valid only if dated within two years of application. Trena Laine will accept students who achieve a benchmark of CLBA 11 (Stage III covers advanced language ability) upon completion of the following Canadian Language Benchmark testing, if not able to provide high school diploma from secondary school.
