Steamfitter/Pipefitter Job Readiness

This course provides students with the opportunity to develop the applied skills needed to prepare for an apprenticeship in the Steamfitter/Pipefitter trade. Students will learn how to thread and assemble steel pipe and how to set up an oxy-fuel cutting torch as well as some basic setup and practice of SMAW welding. The course will also cover job safety, rigging, and the safe operation of hand and power tools.
SFPF Job Readiness contains both classroom and shop components, which involve hands-on training on mild steel pipe and fittings. In addition, students are instructed on the proper installation of rigging. Visit http://www.nait.ca/course_sfpf702.htm !span>
