Admission Requirements
Successful interview with school administration required of all applicants. Standard Admission: Students must meet ONE of the following criteria: Alberta high school diploma, or non-Alberta equivalent will be verified by transcript. High School diplomas that are not from Canada must be verified by IQAS or the World Education Services Gateway Program. OR Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED). 55% in Math 30-1 or 60% in Math 30-2 and 55% in English language Arts 30-1 or 60% English Language Arts 30-2. Mature Admission: Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be 18 years or older. 2. Must complete an academic achievement test to demonstrate required competency through one of the following: Passing score on CAST level 4, TABE scale score range 617-800, CAAT Level D, Wonderlic scale score range 301-315. English Language Admission Requirement: Students must meet the English language requirements through one of the following: Transcripts demonstrating the successful completion of, at minimum, 1 year (2 semesters) of full-time post-secondary education at a school where English was the primary language of instruction in a recognized nation where English is the primary language. Demonstrating a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 7 in the four English language competencies (reading/writing/speaking/listening) through the following assessment: 1.IELTS (minimum overall score of 6), 2.TOEFL score of 83, 3.Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum score of 53, CELPIP (minimum overall score of 6)
