Tasks

  • Ensure that appropriate administrative procedures are followed
  • Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients
  • Administer budget
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
  • Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures
  • Assist in the selection, evaluation and professional development of personnel
  • Set up and co-ordinate nursing services in conjunction with other health services
  • Supervise registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years

Support for persons with disabilities

Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities
