Why would you use an alis guide?

Alis offers guides to help you navigate different stages of your career planning journey.

For each stage, you need different information to help you make good career decisions. Some stages include many steps that you may need to take. They need more than one article or resource to help you fully understand key concepts. A guide shows you which page to start on and where you should go next.

Who can use an alis guide?

Anyone who visits alis can use a guide.

You do not need to sign up for an alis account to use a guide. But having an account lets you keep track of your progress for more than 30 days. It also allows you to see and update your progress across all your devices.

Guest accounts can only save information for a limited amount of time. You won’t be able to see your progress on different devices. Your information may be erased depending on the settings of the browser or device you use.

Find the guides you’ve saved in the My Guides dashboard.

How do you use an alis guide?

How do you get back to a guide you were working on?

If you do not see yellow bars at the top and bottom of the screen, it means you’re not in the guide anymore. You won’t have the option to mark an item as complete. That’s ok.

You can return to a guide you’re working on via your account dashboard:

  • Go to My Guides. All of the guides that you’ve created, saved, or already made progress on will be found here.
  • Find the guide you want to return to.
  • Browse the list under the guide name. Click or tap Show More to see the whole list.
  • When you find the page you need to complete, click or tap in the circle to the left of the name. A check mark will appear and mark the item as complete.
