Interest in instructing and assisting individuals with physical disabilities and intellectual impairments to develop life skills, and to encourage classroom discussions that assist students in developing social skills and identifying objects and situations encountered in daily living; and in providing job training and support
Interest in compiling information to instruct students who are deaf or have hearing impairments in lip-reading, finger-spelling and sign language according to individual needs, and to instruct students who are blind or have visual impairments in reading and writing Braille
Interest in operating equipment designed to minimize the effects of a disability, such as hearing aids, prosthetic devices, wheelchairs and other devices, in order to instruct individuals with physical disabilities and their families in the use of this equipment; and in advising individuals and their families about rehabilitative techniques
