Asbestos Worker: Certifications in Alberta - alis
Under Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety Code [pdf], workers who work with asbestos must be adequately trained to perform the work safely. Legislation

Under Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety Code [pdf], workers who work with asbestos must be adequately trained to perform the work safely. An asbestos worker required to work in a restricted area must have successfully completed an asbestos training course approved by the Government of Alberta.

What You Need

Working in Alberta

Asbestos workers who are certified by and in good standing with a regulatory organization elsewhere in Canada may challenge an exam in Alberta if certified asbestos workers in the two jurisdictions have similar responsibilities and competencies.
