Question
Plan Your Career

“Do I need to get more training before I start looking for work?”

Answer

Decisions about training will depend on the type of job you want and the number of jobs available. Some employers may provide on-the-job training.

But if you’re really thinking about training, ask yourself:

  • What skills and knowledge will this training provide?
  • How relevant is this option for your career goal?
  • What kinds of further learning or training can this option lead to?
  • How well does this option fit with your personal situation?

There are many training paths you can take to help you develop your skills, you just need to decide which one will work best for you.
