Question
Plan Your Career, Audience

“Help! I don’t know what to do with the rest of my life. Where should I start?”

Answer

Figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life is a big part of...well, life.  You’ve already taken the first step by simply asking the question.

Start with the guide How to Choose a Career That Fits You.

It takes you through the steps of figuring out what kind of occupations could be a good fit for you. Getting to know yourself—your interests, dreams, values, and skills—can help you zero in on careers that will fit with what you want from life.

At least until your life changes and then you’ll get to do it all again. When it does, that’s ok. Repeat the career planning process and see what exciting new direction your life can take.
