“How can I get funding for training to help me take the next step in my career?”

Answer

Funding for full-time and part-time training for work is available from a variety of sources.

Start by asking your employer. Many employers offer funding to help their staff upgrade their skills and advance their careers.

If you’re a registered apprentice, you may be eligible for financial support through Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.

If you’re looking to upgrade your education or get training to find a better job, you may be eligible for employment and training funding. For more information, call the Alberta Supports Contact Centre toll-free at 1-877-644-9992. (In Edmonton, call 780-644-9992.) Or visit one of the Alberta Supports Centres across the province.
