Hi I’m Taylor, the JFR Crew Leader for Grande Prairie this summer! This will be my first JFR summer but I am super pumped to see what the program and GP has in store. I am an Environmental Engineering graduate from the University of Guelph, which has given me lots of cool work experience and brought me to unique places like the North Pole where I developed a deep passion for animals and Arctic research! I love hiking, camping, sewing, board games, playing sports (especially curling!), and any kind of adventure. I also love meeting new people, something this program has been fantastic for! I am looking forward to having the best summer ever with all of you :) |

Hello! My name is Angel, and I will be the Calgary JFR leader this season! This is my fourth season with Alberta Forestry and Parks, but my first season as a JFR leader. I grew up in Saskatoon, SK but now live in British Columbia on Vancouver Island. I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Saskatchewan in Renewable Resource Management and my Master of Science from the University of Victoria in Environmental Studies. After finishing school, I spent three years working in the Arctic as an environmental consultant before returning to Forestry and Parks, where I have spent three seasons as a fire lookout observer. When I’m not working, I can often be found reading in my hammock, riding my bike, and trying new baking or crafting projects. This summer, I am most excited to be mountain biking, canoeing, learning how to fly fish, and spending time outside with the crew! |

When I'm not reading, you'll find me playing sports, watching Disney movies, or defending How to Train Your Dragon and LEGO Ninjago far more passionately than necessary. This fall, I'm heading to BC to study Earth and Environmental Sciences. |
