Eric

Eric is a member on our fantastic Hinton/Peace River crew this year! Read on to learn more about their summer so far.

Tell us a little about yourself!

My name is Eric, I’m 16 years old and the youngest on the crew. I’m taking fabrication in school and I’m interested in going into either the wildfire unit crew or military law enforcement.

Why did you apply to the JFR program?

I applied to the JFR program because it seemed like a really good opportunity to get exposed to some other careers, and I've always loved being outdoors but don't get too many chances to spend such long times outdoors. I enjoy working with my hands so it seemed like a good opportunity to work outdoors as well.

What brings you joy?

Winning definitely brings me a lot of joy, whether it's in track and field or other sports, or if its just against myself like reaching a new goal I've set.

Please describe what JFR means to you in 5 words or less!

A great opportunity for exposure.

What is your favorite thing about your crewmates?

My crewmates in both Hinton and Peace River all have a good work ethic and are always willing to help out if anyone needs it. Everyone also gets along really well and if there's any conflict it resolves itself pretty quickly

Thanks for sharing Eric!
