This program is for anyone who is working in the oil and gas industry; this training will be a valuable addition to his/her professional development and career progression, and will support the individual's literacy in this technical subject area. Anyone working in the oil and gas industry who seeks to upgrade knowledge and skills and obtain certification will benefit including technical personnel working in Engineering/Procurement/Construction/Production, Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance; and Operations. As well, Production Accountants, Measurement Professionals, Oil and Gas Joint Venture Specialists, Lab Technologists, or anyone in a regulatory/environmental role or business development role will benefit. Graduates of the Hydrocarbon Measurement certificate program will have a fundamental knowledge of petroleum measurement: devices, design, operation, and maintenance. Graduates will be able to validate base calculations, the volume value chain, regulatory requirements, and business reporting.
