www.sait.caThe Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta is a leader in applied education, delivering relevant, skill-oriented education to more than 31,000 people annually. With more than 250,000 alumni in more than 110 countries, SAIT offers three baccalaureate degrees, three applied degrees, 88 diploma and certificate programs, 28 apprenticeship trades and more than 600 continuing education, corporate training, camps and other open registration courses (2021/22).
SAIT students study within eight academic schools — Business, Construction, Health and Public Safety, Hospitality and Tourism, Manufacturing and Automation, Transportation, the MacPhail School of Energy and the School for Advanced Digital Technology. English language foundations and academic upgrading are offered through the Lamb Learner Success Centre.
SAIT works closely with industry to ensure graduate success. Program advisory committee members offer expertise to enhance program relevance for students. 91% of grads get hired and 97% recommend a SAIT education (2019). 98% of employers are likely to hire a SAIT grad in the future (2020).
SAIT was established in 1916 and completed its largest campus expansion in 2012. The $400-million Trades and Technology Complex added 740,000 square feet of state-of-the-art learning space. In 2019, SAIT launched the School for Advanced Digital Technology to empower tomorrow’s workforce with digital skills.
We provide expertise and resources to industry, working with more than 200 organizations annually. For students, we offer real-world learning experiences #HereAtSAIT in fields including health, agriculture, environment, renewable fuels and green building technologies.
SAIT graduates can further their credentials through articulation and transfer credit agreements with other Canadian and international institutions and professional associations. SAIT is a member of Polytechnics Canada.
