Bachelor of Arts Philosophy, Politics, and Law

University of Lethbridge

University of Lethbridge

www.uleth.ca/future-student
The Major in Philosophy, Politics, and Law is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students engaged in civic-minded careers. Students receive a broad education on both the normative and descriptive aspects of political and legal thought and organization. After having taken a set of cohort-forming courses together, students are provided with an education in three foundational points of view: The philosophical point of view, the point of view of political science, and the Indigenous point of view. Depending on their career-goals, students then choose to complete additional courses in one of four streams: The environmental stream, the health stream, the business stream or the social justice stream. At the end of their program, students come together in a project based capstone-course that will allow them to appreciate the wide variety of perspectives from which civil issues can be approached.
