www.macewan.ca
The Recording and Production major is an on-campus, intensive studio-based program of studies, focused on the aesthetic and the technical complexities of recording arts. Coursework includes acoustics and psychoacoustics, recording methods and techniques, analog and digital tools of production and post-production, subtle and refined technical ear training, live recording and production, and mastering. Students collaborate with faculty on creative research projects and original music recording and production. As musicians first, students pursue recording and production within the academic and applied study of jazz and contemporary popular music. The program prepares graduates for both graduate studies and for entry to professional practice.
