Admission Requirements
Standard Admission: Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent; successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) 2. At least 50% in Math 30-1, Math 30-2 or Pure Math 30, or at least 60% in Applied Math 30 3. At least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, or at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-2; 4. Must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmark Level for student whose first language is not English) prior to admission, including students educated in Canada. Specific English test required: a. A score of 6 and above in the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB), or, b. A score of 6 and above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or c. a score of 15 or above in the Wonderlic - SLE 5. Successful interview with the College Mature Admission: Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be 18 years or older, 2. Must complete an academic achievement test to determine required competency. It is required that it be a standard Wonderlic test with a minimum score of 20 and above, or a GED test with a standard score of 520 in Language Arts, Reading/Writing/Math 3. At least 50% in Math 30-1, Math 30-2 or Pure Math 30, or at least 60% in Applied Math 30 4. At least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, or at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-2; 5. Must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmark Level for student whose first language is not English) prior to admission, including students educated in Canada. Specific English test required: Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of one year of full-time post-secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction or Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of three years of full-time secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction a. A score of 6 and above in the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA) in each section or, b. A score of 6 in each skill/category or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) c. A score of 20 in each skill/category in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) d. A score of 60 overall band in the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) e. A score of 20 in the Wonderlic - Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) f. A score of 95 in the Duolingo English Test g. A score of 50 in each skill/category in the Pearson Test of English (PTE) h.A score of 75 in each skill/category in the Michigan English Language Assessment (MELAB) 6. Successful interview with the College
