Learn to turn data into powerful business insights through a hands-on, practical curriculum. In this program, you'll learn to develop data-driven solutions that support decision-making across all levels of an organization. You'll focus on designing and implementing modern data architectures, cloud-based data pipelines, and data models that power analytics and reporting. You'll build interactive dashboards and create compelling data visualizations to support business objectives, learning to communicate analytical findings effectively through storytelling, presentations, and reports tailored to business audiences. As a student, you'll: design modern data architectures that enable scalable analytics and reporting build cloud-based data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration create impactful dashboards and data visualizations to support performance management model, cleanse, and transform data for accurate analysis and reporting present insights through effective data storytelling, using presentations, dashboards, and reports identify and communicate business data needs to guide digital and data-driven solutions. As a graduate, you'll be prepared to align data initiatives with strategic business goals and apply insights to improve operational and tactical decision-making. You can pursue various career opportunities, including BI analyst, data analyst, or BI developer. The skills you acquire will be valuable in multiple industries and organizations. Due to the tight integration of the courses in the Business Intelligence Data Analysis and Reporting program, credit for prior learning is not available.

Admission Requirements

 

  • At least 60% in English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalent, OR,
  • A minimum of two years post-secondary education from a recognized university, institute or college.
  • All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency prior to admission, including students educated in Canada.

Due to the tight integration of the courses in the Business Intelligence - Data Analysis and Reporting (BSN) program, credit for Prior Learning is not available.

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2026/08/01 to 2027/07/31*.
